Oman is situated on the southeastern corner of the Arabian Peninsula and was, until recently, something of an enigma; closed off to the outside world. Over the past few years the country has opened its boarders to travelers and is rapidly gaining a reputation for the quality and variety of its diving. More than 1000 different types of fish, shellfish as well as whale sharks, sperm & humpback whales, dolphins, mantas and mola mola call the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Oman home. Strict fishing conditions and large marine parks protect this valuable treasure.
